Socially Responsible Restaurants:
Organic, Natural & Conventional

Half Moon Bay Restaurants Are Using More Locally, Responsibly,
and Humanely Produced Food Products

Half Moon Bay restaurants have always been innovative when it comes to their menus , but now they are moving beyond the fundamentals and are becoming more socially responsible by buying local products that support good health, great taste, and the local Half Moon Bay economy.

Explore1.com's social responsibility category is organized three sections:
1)
Organic, Natural & Conventional; 2) Nutritional; and 3) Environmental.  The rationale to use three separate subcategories is for display purposes rather than based on topics or issues.  There is a significant overlap between categories.

This page demonstrates how Half Moon Bay restaurants are making purchasing decisions with regards to organic, natural and conventional farming techniques.  All responses below are voluntarily provided by each restaurant.  There was no independent validation of their responses.

Don't see your favorite restaurant listed?  Have their representative fill out our survey and we'll post the results.  Click here to access the survey.

*A product is considered “local” or "Locally produced" if it travels 200 or fewer miles  from the farm to the restaurant/store.

**Naturally Raised and Responsibly Farmed are defined as being raised without any antibiotics, hormones, chemical additives, or food sources that cannot be properly digested by the animal.  Also, at the time of processing, all animals are considered healthy, e.g., no downed or sick animals are allowed to enter the food supply.
