Eagle Lake Ranger District -- Lassen National Forest (530) 257-4188
The 26 mile trail offers a wide path and gentle grade that is perfect for
hiking, biking, horseback riding, or cross-country skiing.
Eagle Lake All Access Trail
Discover the paved 5.2 mile all access (paved) trail along Eagle Lake. Try
out those new rollarblades, or walking shoes. Get out and get energized!
The Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail
Hat Creek Ranger District -- Lassen National Forest (530) 336-5521
Elevations along this section of the trail range from 3,200 to 5,500 feet.
Because of the elevation, portions of the trail are impacted by snow until late spring.
Be sure to take plenty of water with you, no drinking water is available along the
26 mile route that traverses Hat Creek Rim. For those of you that hike the trail,
you will get some spectacular views of both Lassen and Shasta. Call Hat Creek Ranger

Heart Lake National Recreation Trail -- Lassen National Forest
The 3.5 mile trail, which follows Martin Creek, offers incredible views of Lassen
Peak and Brokeoff Mountain.
Lake Almanor Recreation Trail
Spectacular views of Lake Almanor, Dyer Mountain and Lassen Volcanic
National Park can be found along the entire route of the nine and one-half
mile Lake Almanor Recreation Trail.
Spencer Meadows National Recreation Trail -- Lassen National Forest
This twelve mile trail meanders through aspen groves, meadow areas, incense cedar,
and bubbling springs.
Spatter Cone Crest Trail

If you walk the 3/4 mile nature trail, you'll discover three of the four kinds
of volcanoes in the world. The trailhead and parking area are located across the
highway from Hat Creek Campground on Highway 89. Take plenty of water because the trail is
not shaded.
Subway Cave Lava Tube Guided Trail

The trail goes through Subway Cave--an underground lava tube. It's recommended
that you wear sturdy shoes, and wear a jacket because the cave is chilly. Also, since the
cave is not lit, make sure you take a flashlight with fresh batteries.
