1) Determine how many
brochure pages that you need to convey your business information.
2) Select and print a pre-designed
template for each page that you need for your Online Brochure.
3) In the "PAGE SEQUENCE" box
that is located at the bottom of the template, identify the sequence in which the page
will appear to your visitors. For example, the first page of your brochure that a
visitor will come to is called a "HOMEPAGE." Write "HOMEPAGE" in the
Page Sequence box on the template that will become your Home page. Additional
templates should be titled in accordance to their importance --"SUBPAGE #1,"
"SUBPAGE #2," and so on.
4) Collect and organize the needed
material to complete the visual elements and text boxes that are associated with each
template that you have selected for your Online Brochure.
a) Visual Elements --
This category includes photographs, logos,
graphics, etc.
All elements that you send to us should be clean, high-quality hardcopy prints or photos
that we can easily scan. We will resize, crop, and cleanup the images to meet the
template's formatting requirements. (Note: if you already have the images in a digital
format, please send them on a PC formatted disk.)
b) Text Boxes --
In these areas of the template, you will
compose and place the copy (text) that you want to include in your Online
Brochure. Try to use as few words as possible. Internet users want succinct,
easy to read information.
NOTE: All material
that you include on your page(s) must be your own property, or you have written consent to
use the material. For more information, read the "Copyright Release Form"
that is attached to the "Order Form."
5) Assign unique, corresponding numbers
that will appear on both the templates, and on the visual elements and text that you send
to us. For example, if you want a specific photo placed on template #1 then assign a
unique number to the back of the photo and assign that same number to the exact location
on template #1 where you want the photo placed. Also, use the same process for text.
Assign a unique number to your text and write that number at the exact location on the
template that you wish the text to appear. (NOTE: if your sending the information on
a PC formatted disk, the file names must correspond to the names that you write on the
template(s).)
You do not have to place visual elements
or text in every field on the template. In fact, a certain amount of white space
(areas where nothing appears) is a good visual technique that is used by most
designers. However, when information is missing, we reserve the right to make
formatting changes that will help to visually balance the page.
6) Now that you have completed your
template(s), fill out the order form, sign and date the copyright release form, and send
them, along with your materials and payment, to Digital Renaissance (mailing address is on
the order form).
7) When we complete your Online
Brochure, we will notify you when we post it to the index. At that time, you'll have
the opportunity to make any necessary--minor--adjustments to your page(s).
8) Timeline--generally speaking, once we
receive your materials, it will take us between 2 to 10 days to complete your brochure and
post it to the Index. The timeline depends entirely on our workload.
NOTE: If you would
like your materials returned to you, send a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope (SASE) along
with the packet of information that you send to Digital Renaissance. Please make sure that
the envelope and postage is adequate to return your materials.
