Santa Cruz Restaurants Are Offering Healthier Menu Choices,
Accommodating Special Diets such as Gluten-free and Low Fat, and Eliminating
Unhealthy Ingredients such as Trans Fat and MSG

Nutritional information is a must for anyone trying to make healthy choices, but only restaurant chains with 20 or more locations are legally bound to disclose nutritional facts.

Santa Cruz restaurants are once again ahead of the industry by voluntarily disclosing some key nutritional information that consumersespecially those with special nutritional requirements  need to make better, healthier choices. 

By scanning the restaurant list below, you will quickly discover that they are focused on quality, healthy meals.  A testament to their commitment is their willingness to exclude MSG and trans fat from their menus, and to include many gluten-free and vegetarian-friendly entree options.

Although all of the listed restaurants deserve much praise, the standout in this category is Charlie Hong Kong.  With 75% of their entrees vegetarian and an unparalleled 75% vegan, they are creating one of the most nutritionally sensitive menus in Santa Cruz.  Also, along with Feel Good Foods Organic Catering, 50% of their menu items are gluten-free.
