The highlights include six completely furnished rooms of antique furniture, a blacksmith's
shop, the old Fall River jail, a room containing early farm implements, and a fine
collection of Indian artifacts.

Heritage Junction of McCloud Historic Center

The museum features logging industry memorabilia, early fire fighting equipment,
a replica of an old church, a Corliss engine from the 1903 McCloud Steam Log Mill, and
clothing and accessories from the middle 1800's to early 1900's.

The Trinity County Historical Park focuses on the gold rush days and on pioneer
life. The grounds contain a reconstructed stamp mill, a miner's cabin, and a
blacksmith shop.
Kelly/Griggs House Museum (Open year-round, Thursday - Sunday)

The renovated Victorian features authentic antique furnishings and paintings
that span more than a century. The museum also features the "Ishi Room" an
exhibit of "the last wild Indian," and the "Pioneer Room" that houses
a priceless collection of early possessions and photographs from Tehama County's past.

Historical and physical evidence indicates that there have
been as many as three structures in Parker Meadows, two of them constructed by, or in
cooperation with, the Foster family.
Hodges
Cabin

Hodges Cabin is located about four miles up the North Fork of
Coffee Creek Trail inside the Trinity Alps Wilderness. The historic site is home to
the two story cabin, a horse barn and corral, a blacksmith shop, a generator shed and
Pelton wheel, a cement swimming pool and a treehousebuilt. All the buildings were in
1923 by Walter Leander Hodges.
Bowerman Barn

Built in 1878 by Jacob Bowerman, the barn stands today as an
outstanding example of a late 19th century hand-crafted structure. It is listed with the
National Register of Historic Places.

State Historical Park

The historic site is made up of what remains from an old mining
town. Its Courthouse Museum features memorabilia from the early days of
gold mining. Other buildings include a courtroom, jail, and gallows.

It is California's oldest pharmacy still in operation. The historic site
exhibits antique equipment and devices.

Joss House State Historic Park

"The Temple of the Forest Beneath the Clouds" is the oldest
continuously used Chinese temple in California. The historic site exhibits art objects,
pictures, mining tools, and weapons used in the 1854 Tong War. The park is a fascinating
look into the role that the Chinese immigrants played in early California history. For

William B. Ide
Adobe State Historic Park (Open year-round)
The historical site was named after the only president of the short-lived
California Bear Republic - which lasted just 22 days. The park features an old adobe home,
carriage shed, blacksmith shop and a small visitor center.
