Lava Springs State Park -- camping
The park is located northeast of Redding and is accessible only by boat. The park
offers many recreational activities including hiking, fishing, and breathtaking views of

Castle Crags State Park
-- camping
Named for 6,000-foot glacier-polished crags, the park is perfect for swimming,
fishing, rock climbing and hiking. It features 28 miles of hiking trails, including
a 2.7 mile access trail to Castle Crags Wilderness. The park has 76 developed

McArthur-Burney
Falls State Park -- camping
The park's main attraction is a 129-foot waterfall that spills 100 million gallons
of water each day. Black Swifts and Bald Eagles nests can be seen along the shore
line of Lake Britton. The park also has six miles of hiking trails, and feature watersport
activities. 128 developed campsites are available in the park. For more Information
