2010 Restaurant Survey

Thank you for participating in Explore1.com's Restaurant Survey.

In response to the requests from many of our readers, we are surveying restaurants in the area to find out which establishments are addressing their nutritional, social and environmental concerns. 

The information that we collect will be used to create several new subcategories on Explorer1.com – ranging from restaurants that use organic produce to gluten -free menu items to Earth-friendly takeout packaging.  Please note that these new subcategories will be in addition to our traditional listings and are intended to provide those concerned readers with the information they need to make a better purchasing decisions.

*Naturally Raised and Responsibly Farmed are defined as being raised without any antibiotics, hormones, chemical additives, or food sources that cannot be properly digested by the animal.  Also, at the time of processing, all animals are considered healthy, e.g., no downed or sick animals are allowed to enter the food supply.

**We define products as being “local” or "locally produced" if they traveled 200 or fewer miles  from the farm to the restaurant/store.
