Train Rides

V&T Railroad

Carson City-Virginia City

14 miles each way between Carson City and Virginia City through the Flowery Mountains .  Ride the almost-complete, multi-million-dollar reconstruction of the V&T’s original Carson City-Virginia City track. Starting just above the Carson River Canyon, the train takes a modern route first, for about two miles, along the east side of Mound House and across a spectacular railroad bridge over U.S. Hwy. 50.

The biggest little zoo in the world!  Sierra Safari has become a fixture of the Reno Sparks community over the last twenty years. Though small it has become the largest zoo in Nevada, with over two-hundred animals of over forty different species.
