Located north of Lassen Volcanic NP, Hat Creek offers seven campgrounds and four picnic areas that are situated along Hat Creek. Recreational opportunities include fishing, hiking, camping, picnicking, wildlife observation and natural history. Fascinating volcanic formations can be viewed and explored.

Unless otherwise indicated, Hat Creek area campgrounds are open from late April to late October and are available on first come, first served basis. (Please Note: opening and closing dates are dependent upon weather conditions. Also, verify all fee and park information with the Ranger Station or Lassen National Forest Headquarters.)

Big Pine -- Tent Camping Only  (Elevation 4500') Located on Hwy 89, the campground has 19 campsites with available hand-pumped water restrooms, tables, fire rings, and BBQ grills.

Bridge --   (Elevation 3,900') Located on Hwy 89, the campground has 25 sites with available drinking water, restrooms, fire rings, tables, and BBQ grills.

Subway Cave --   (Elevation 4,300') Located on Hwy 89, the campground has 46 sites with available drinking water, restrooms, fire rings, tables, and BBQ grills. Some of the campground facilities are handicapped accessible. Fees are $11 per night. The campgrounds are open late April to late October. 16 of the campsites, though, are available year-round without services.

Dusty --   (Elevation 3000') Located on Hwy 89, this PG & E facility has 7 campsBridge ites--consisting of two group sites that can hold up to 25 people each, and 7 family sites that can hold up to 10 people each. No drinking water is available.

Hat Creek -- Tent, Trailer & Walk-in Camping  (Elevation 4300') Located on Hwy 44/89, the campground has 75 sites with available drinking water, restrooms, fire rings, tables, and BBQ grills.  9 campsites require a reservation. All other sites are provided on a first come, first served basis. Some of the campground facilities are handicapped accessible.

Hat Creek Group Sites Located on Hwy 44/89, the Hat Creek Campgrounds has three group sites that can hold upto 50 people each. Available facilities include:  drinking water, flush and vault toilets, fire rings, tables, and BBQ grills. Reservations required and can be made by calling 1-800-280-CAMP.

Rocky -- Tent & Small RV Camping  (Elevation 4,000') Located on Hwy 89, the campground has 8 campsites with available restrooms, tables, fire rings, and BBQ grills. Sorry, no drinking water is available at this location--only stream water.

Honn On Highway 89. Fee, elevation 3500’, 6 sites, no drinking water available, season late April - October
